Salvation for Zacchaeus
And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
Like so many others, Zacchaeus was fascinated and excited about Jesus Christ, although he was known to be a corrupt tax collector. He followed Jesus and welcomed him into his home, but it's not until Zacchaeus declares what he will "do" in regards to repenting that Jesus declares, "...This day is salvation come to this house...".
On a side note, Zacchaeus was certainly very generous, as he gave away 50% of all that he had.
Surgery for no reason
I walked into the garden center of Walmart and saw an employee with a support bandage on his wrist. After discussing the cat that just walked by, I asked him what was wrong with his wrist. He replied, "I just had surgery for Carpal Tunnel". I asked if he had pain there and he said yes. I told him I was a minister and could pray for him if he wanted the pain gone. He replied, "I believe in Jesus, but I don't need you to pray for me". I said, "If you believe in Jesus, why would you say no to prayer"?
He didn't have a good reason, but I could tell he was able to receive healing, so I pressed the issue. I said, "When men say no to prayer because they are hard workers, that could be pride. I know this because I'm a hard worker". When I said that, he accepted prayer and was healed. He accepted what I said because I identified myself with the same issue he had, while complimenting him at the same time.
Eloquent Speaking = No Power.
Many people who identify as Christian attend big, beautiful, church fellowship buildings. These places are expensive, partly because the main leader has good leadership and oratory skills. Often, these places lack the power of the Holy Spirit. There’s a biblical reference for this.
1Corinthians 1:17 KJV
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
Another translation of the scripture verse above makes the point clear and easier to understand.
1Corinthians 1:17 NIV
For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
If you attend a popular church fellowship where the main speaker is eloquent in speech and that’s the main reason why you attend, you’re probably missing out on the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is in everyone.
In Acts 17:28 Paul isn't speaking to believers, but rather to unbelievers when he acknowledged that Jesus Christ is in everyone.
"For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring."
In Colossians 1:17 Paul again makes this point clear.
"He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together."
In Galatians 1:15-16 Paul makes the point that Jesus Christ didn't come into Paul, but rather that God revealed Jesus Christ in Paul.
"But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:"
In Acts 3:15 Peter, while reprimanding those guilty of killing Jesus, states that Jesus Christ is the author of life, further making the point that Jesus Christ is in everyone, including unbelievers.
"You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this."
None of these scriptures make a case for Universalism.
Does God give everyone a chance?
"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." - John 12:32
Over the years, I've heard many people challenge the gospel by suggesting that there are many people in remote areas of the earth who haven't had the chance to hear the gospel.
Those suggestions, from unbelievers, are unwarranted in light of John 12:32.
A Lasting Inheritance
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you," - 1Peter 1:3-4
The lost people of this world who have great wealth are really small thinkers. Their wealth is only for a moment, but our wealth is forever. We, the people of God are the big thinkers. We're the long term investors.
From Saint to Sinner
"Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." - James 5:19-20
In the verses above, James is addressing believers. When he wrote, "...a multitude of sins", he was referring to the believer who became an unbeliever because of practicing sin.
Vaccines and God
People throughout the world are dying of COVID-19 after getting fully vaccinated. Is it possible that the vaccine is actually giving people the virus? The way a vaccine works, is that the vaccine introduces a dead virus into the person and then the person’s immune system produces antibodies to fight against the virus. At that point, the immune system is ready for a future attack of that virus.
God’s word says:
Isaiah 54:16-17 KJV
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
God made us in such a way that when(not if) we are attacked, we overcome and become stronger against the enemy. So, vaccine producers are trying to do what God has already done. This is typical of the antichrist spirit which influences a high percentage of people in the world. They think they can do it better than God.
Rapture at the last day.
These 2 verses from 2 different writers, John and Paul, refer to the rapture of the body of Christ on the last day.
John 6:40 KJV
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 KJV
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Know the gifts by sharing the faith.
I was on the food market checkout line when I felt the power of the Spirit for a young woman who just arrived to bag my groceries. I felt the power on my left hand and sensed that the leading was like a divining rod, meaning that she had discomfort somewhere on her left side. She had an old injury on her left ankle and when I spoke to the injury, the burden left and her ankle felt light and free. Both her and the cashier girl, being Christians, were very interested. I told them that the best way to understand the gifts that are in you, is to share your faith. When you share your faith consistently, you'll experience the power of the Spirit moving through you.
Stir up the gift of the Holy Spirit.
In 2Timothy 1:6 Paul wrote, "Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands".
Believers in the bible received the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands by the apostles. Once a believer has the Holy Spirit, it is their responsibility to stir up that gift.
I do this by making myself available to the Holy Spirit. Not by trying to make something happen on my own power, but by keeping my mind on what the Lord wants and not on what I want. When I do this, the Lord presents to me good works that I can get involved in.
Dangers of greasy grace
Grace needs to have a pure definition that isn't defiled be immature people who have ulterior motives. When someone who identifies as Christian, wants a leadership role in order to make money as a Christian leader, that person will employ greasy grace methods into their teaching because greasy grace makes immature, wounded people feel better about their wounds, but true healing doesn't come. Proverbs 27:6 teaches us this: Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.
Calling God with Sec. of State
I had a dream recently where I was in a room with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. There were dignitaries all around the room, but two Saudi Arabian men stood out. Mike handed me a phone and plugged it in. I knew that I would be calling heaven.
This dream means that Mike Pompeo is asking for prayer to know how to deal with Saudi Arabia.
Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. - Proverbs 11:14
A shaking from the Lord
And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. 9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.
God is shaking the nations and it's causing people to repent and turn to the Lord. This shaking is going to intensify because evil must be exposed for all to see. When the extent of the wickedness is revealed, many people are going to be appalled and frightened. The amount of people flocking to God will need finances to accomplish and that's why God says, "the silver is mine and the gold is mine...".
